Guest SazT
Hi, Any good/bad reports on this place? We are thinking of emigrating and ideally want to live near Brisbane but not right in the middle. Is it good area for children and how far is it from Brisbane by car? Any comments would be much appreciated.
Guest michaelbyriel
Hi SazT This area is quite good for a family. There are schools nearby, public transport, great shopping close by and easy access to Brisbane. In no traffic you can get to the Brisbane CBD in 30 minutes by car but during peak hours it will probably take about 1 hour. North Lakes is a beautiful place with lots of nice new modern homes. Guest cal
I must agree we had a visit to north lakes the other week for a nosey around ,i wanted to see ''little england'' for myself and i was quite impressed, some of the houses are beautiful, schools ,childcare and shops on the doorstep, bus stops etc ,the only negative thing was that its very closed in ,all the houses seemed to be on top of each other,if your not bothered about a small garden etc i'd say go for it,hope this helps a bit Cal x
Guest michaelbyriel
Another area I would look at is Redcliffe. It is a Peninsula about 10 minutes up the road from North Lakes. It is a beautiful laid back seaside community with a relaxed atmosphere with an emphasis on outdoor seaside living that really embraces recreation and leisure. There are many good schools around and you can pick up many bargain properties.
Guest Lou
We had a look at North lakes when over there last year and thought it looked nice. Everything you need in the local area and not too far from the beach and Brissy.
