Guest Anna Joseph
I will be accompanying my husband on a work tour to Brisbane and we will be staying at the Punthill Apartment Hotel - http://www.punthill.com.au/. He will be busy with meetings during the day while I plan to explore the city, do some shopping and then spend the evenings enjoying some good food and cocktails. Any suggestions of what's good nearby and worth exploring? Also, which are the popular restaurants and bars that are worth a trip? The hotel is located in Astor Terrace, Spring Hill. Is this close to Brisbane CBD? Thanks, Anna
Guest Keith & Linda
Well you will have an easy walk into the city, for all the shops and there are a few city walks guides you can pick up from the tourist info place, A longer walk over to South Bank Parklands which has a beach and swimming, nearby are the theaters, museums and art galleries. A good trip is up and down the river on the River Cat ferries, we always do that when new visitors come to see us. There are the City Botanic gardens and Eagle St pier all walkable too. Plenty to do, and you will see all the restaurants you want as you walk around. Further afield you could go to Mount Cootha for the scenic lookout over the city you will pass the main botanic gardens of the same name, there is a planetarium in the gardens too. Enjoy your visit.
