Afghanistan: Hidden Treasures l Until 27 January at Queensland Museum

 

 

This summer, artefacts from an ancient trade route, travelled by Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan and Marco Polo, will be brought to life in Brisbane at The Queensland Museum’s latest international exhibition. Featuring almost 230 priceless objects from the Silk Road, visitors will explore a crossroads of cultural riches revealed through exquisite gold work, jewellery and sculpture, the oldest of which dates back 4000 years.
