Guest Jayne Roberts
Hi everyone, just trying to get a feel for what we can afford when we get to Brisbane. My hubby will be on $75,000 + co. car & cell phone. I'm beginning to wonder if this is a realistic wage to live off for the 3 of us (2 adults & 3 year old). He's going to be working in Murarrie but we'd like to live south of there, somewhere rural/semi-rural if possible. We'd be renting. What are the basic expenses to consider when living in OZ? Thanks in advance
Guest cal
When renting the owner pays rates so your left with Phone / Internet Electric Contents Insurance Excess water charges in some rentals We live semi rural, its under an hour to the city or Gold Coast beaches ,loads of space and cheaper property,we love it out here.. Guest Ktee
I don't know for down in Brisbane as we are in Cairns but here is some of our costs Electric it use to be $1000 a quarter we have now got solar and Tarrif 33 so we are looking at around $600 per quarter. Gas we pay around $70 - $100 per quarter Phone and internet we are on a 100 gig package so we pay $120 per month that includes the phone. Mobile - $60 per month includes $500 of call allowance and 3 gig data plan. You can do all of the above cheaper. If you can get a house to rent that has solar and tarrif 33 if it has a pool it would be a lot cheaper for you.
