Moving to Australia free webchat with industry experts

Our sister site – Poms in Oz is hosting a live webchat session with leading experts in banking, currency exchange, financial/pensions advice, international removals and pet transportation. The chat event will take place on Tuesday 22nd May 2012 from 20:00-22:00 (UK Time). Australian Visa changes

Don’t forget that on the 01st July, the Australian visas system is undergoing something of a radical overhaul with the introduction of ‘SkillSelect’
SkillSelect is an online system that allows skilled workers who are interested in emigrating to Australia, to record their details in order to be considered for a skilled visa through an ‘Expression of Interest’. People intending to emigrate to Australia may be found and nominated for skilled visas by Australian employers or state and territory governments, or they may be invited by the Australian Government to lodge a visa application.

Despite having over a days downtime in March due a a minor technical hiccup, our Emigrating to Australia Forum – pomsinoz attracted it’s highest number of monthly visitors ever, with 457,490 visits. Despite the poor exchange rate, the stagnant housing market in the UK and continuing house prices rises in Australia, it appears that the emigration dream still burns brightly for many people and the pull of life down under remains strong.

PerthPoms has grown exponentially over the last 12 months and is now a hive of activity with members discussing their move to Perth and British expats in Perth using the site to connect with other expats, arrange meet ups, social events etc. The site now has well over 1000 active members, is getting 3000 posts a month and is receiving around 45,000 visits a month.
